ST. LOUIS (AP) — Simon Becher had a first-half goal to end a long scoreless streak by Houston keeper Jonathan Bond, and rookie Dante Polvara added his first MLS goal in the second half as St. Louis City beat the Dynamo 2-1 on Saturday night to extend their club-record unbeaten streak to 11.

Becher hit a turn-around shot from the top of the box in the 23rd minute to halt Jonathan Bond’s scoreless streak at 485 minutes and give St. Louis City a 1-0 lead. It was his career-high fifth goal of the campaign.

Ibrahim Aliyu scored for the second time this season, unassisted in the 75th minute to tie it 1-all.

Polvara found the net in the 85th minute unassisted for the victory.

Roman Bürki totaled three saves for St. Louis City, (9-6-6) which has gone 8-0-3 during its unbeaten run.

Bond saved two shots for Houston (12-7-2), which entered with a 6-0-2 record in its previous eight matches as it climbed to the top of the Western Conference.

St. Louis City hasn't lost since a 2-0 setback to Austin FC in a May 3 road match. The club has the longest unbeaten streak in the league this season, passing a 10-match run by Supporters' Shield-leading Nashville SC earlier.

Houston fell for the first time since losing 3-0 to Real Salt Lake in a May 13 road match.

The Dynamo tied a league record with five straight shutout victories
