WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Kinley Rasmus is on a record-setting roll at the Little League World Series.

The 12-year-old pitcher and shortstop for the Phenix City, Alabama, team representing the Southeast at the tournament had a pair of hits during a comeback win over a team from Tacoma, Washington, on Tuesday that kept Phenix City's season alive.

Rasmus has five hits during the double-elimination tournament, the most by a girl at the Little League World Series.

The daughter of former major league pitcher Cory Rasmus has already distinguished herself on the mound. Kinley Rasmus allowed one hit in six innings in a game against Tacoma earlier in the tournament. The eight strikeouts she recorded in that outing tied Mo'Ne Davis' mark for strikeouts by a girl in a game.

Rasmus then added six more strikeouts in a victory on Monday to boost her tournament total to 14, also tying a record held by Davis.

She will have a chance to add to her hit total when Phenix City plays another elimination game on Wednesday.
