WATSONVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar 2, 2026--

The California Strawberry Commission will conduct a special meeting (Pursuant to Government Code Section 11125.4(c) relative to holding a special meeting on less than 10 days’ notice) on March 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 180 Westridge Dr., Watsonville, CA.

This meeting has been called and noticed pursuant to the special meeting provision of the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act (Act), which allows for a meeting to consider pending litigation on less than 10 days’ notice when such a delay would cause an undue hardship. Specifically, pending litigation related to Public Resources Code 42355.51 could affect the sustainability of berry production and therefore a Special Meeting has been called.

- Closed Session: Regarding pending litigation pursuant to California Government Code Section 11126 (e). The Board will go into closed session to discuss potential litigation associated with California Public Resources Code Sections 17580.5, 41821.5 and 42355.51.
- Return to Open Session: Announce action taken in closed session.
- Adjourn
